Qualifications

• Hold a Transport Manager CPC qualification.
• Proven experience in a managerial role within transport.
• Strong knowledge of transport regulations and compliance standards.
• Possess a category C+E driving licence.
• Excellent communicator with leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day transport operations across multiple depots.
• Optimise route planning and scheduling for HGV vehicles.
• Monitor driver hours, compliance, and driver regulations.
• Assist HR in inductions, appraisals and training.
• Investigate driver incidents and implement corrective actions.

About you:

• Hold a Transport Manager CPC qualification

What you'll do:

• Manage the day-to-day operations of transport across multiple depots
• Optimise route planning and scheduling for HGV vehicles
• Monitor driver hours, compliance, and adherence to legal standards like tachographs and driver regulations
• Support HR in driver inductions, appraisals, disciplinary procedures, and training
• Conduct investigations into driver misdemeanours and implement corrective actions
• Oversee vehicle maintenance, safety protocols, and ensure PPE and manuals are up to date
• Maintain compliance with H&S policies and administrative duties such as incident reporting and customer complaints
• Collaborate with senior logistics teams to improve policies and support departmental back-up needs
