Job summary

Experienced HGV Trailer Technician required in Essex. Carry out trailer inspections, servicing and repairs to VOSA and company standards. Includes defect reports, on-site diagnostics, and mobile repairs with a company van.

Ideal candidates have IRTEC or Level 3 HGV Technician qualifications, welding experience is a plus, and a valid driving licence. Excel in paperwork, communication, and adhere to safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• IRTEC certification or Level 3 HGV Technician qualification preferred.
• Experience with trailer inspections, servicing and repairs.
• Welding experience preferable but not essential.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Carry out inspections, servicing, and repair of trailers to VOSA and company standards.
• Completion of defect reports and associated paperwork to comply with legal requirements.
• On-site maintenance checks, initial vehicle diagnostics, and minor repairs as a Mobile technician.
• Ensure the correct and effective safe use of all tools and ancillary equipment.
• Complete all job cards and compliance paperwork to a high standard ensuring the correct information is submitted in a timely manner.
• Always provide excellent customer service.
• Maintain good housekeeping standards, carrying out any other duties deemed reasonable by management.
• Complete any additional training when necessary.

With over 40 years of experience, Hireco are specialist in the trailer, truck and van market. The ideal candidate would have a minimum of 5 year’s experience in a similar role.**The Job Role:**Experienced HGV Trailer Technicians Required - based in Essex.
