Qualifications

• Fully qualified HGV Trailer Technician with relevant certifications.
• HGV Class 1 licence is desirable but not essential.
• Experience in double deck maintenance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance, repairs, and modifications on HGV trailers.
• Undertake pre-MOT checks and perform necessary repairs.
• Conduct QC tests and present trailers for MOTs.

Job Role: HGV Trailer Technician

Location: Preston

Salary: £17ph - £35,360

Shift: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week

1 in 2 Saturdays paid at 1.5x

Overtime paid at 1.5x

My client is a large fleet maintenance company with over 65 years of experience. Due to their continued success, they are now looking for skilled HGV Trailer Technicians to join their growing team.

About your new HGV Trailer Technician role

You will carry out maintenance, repairs, and modifications on the fleet of HGV trailers and provide technical support from fault analysis through to completion.

You will be required to undertake pre-MOT checks and perform any necessary repairs.

You will conduct QC tests and present trailers for MOTs.

General HGV Trailer Technician duties

The successful HGV Trailer Technician will require:

• In-depth knowledge of commercial vehicles and HGV trailers
• HGV Class 1 licence (desirable but not essential)
• Fully qualified HGV Trailer Technician with City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 in heavy vehicle maintenance and repair
• Double deck maintenance experience (desirable)
• Welding experience (desirable)
