Job summary

Volvo Group is seeking skilled HGV Technicians to join our growing team. You will carry out service, maintenance and repair work on Volvo HGVs to the highest standards, diagnose faults with modern diagnostic equipment and perform safety inspections including MOT preparations.

We require a Level 2 or 3 NVQ in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent, and prior experience on HGVs or completion of an apprenticeship.

Qualifications

• Level 2 or 3 NVQ in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
• Experience on HGVs or completed an apprenticeship in the HGV industry.

Responsibilities

• Carry out service, maintenance and repair work on Volvo HGVs to the highest standards.
• Diagnose and rectify vehicle faults using modern diagnostic equipment.
• Perform safety inspections, MOT preparations, and routine maintenance.
• Ensure all work is completed efficiently, safely, and in line with manufacturer standards.
• Wear personal protective equipment when appropriate.
• Support the development of young trainees and apprentices.

£3,000 joining bonus (£1,500 net payment on the first paycheck - £1,500 net payment after the 6-month probation period - direct applicants only). Salary up to £20 per hour dependent upon skill set & experience. Covering a rotating shift: Monday to Friday 0600hrs to 1400hrs/1400hrs to 2200hrs Alternative Saturday morning overtime, time & half.
