Job summary

Recruitable Staffing Solutions Limited is seeking an experienced Heavy Vehicle Technician / HGV Mechanic for a specialist engineering contract based in Ashchurch. You will service, repair and refurbish heavy vehicles and equipment as part of an experienced team.

The role offers a 3-month initial contract with ongoing work, a total package of £22 per hour (£17 basic plus £5 expenses) and BPSS clearance sponsored by the client.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent.
• Experience with HGVs, commercial vehicles, plant, heavy machinery or military vehicles.
• Strong mechanical maintenance and diagnostic skills.
• Basic electrical fault-finding experience.
• Able to obtain BPSS security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs.
• Mechanical and electrical fault finding.
• Vehicle inspections and defect rectification.
• Component removal and replacement.
• Preventative maintenance and overhaul work.
• Supporting vehicle refurbishment programmes.
• Working to strict safety and quality standards.
