Job summary

Greenhous is seeking a skilled Nightshift HGV Technician to join the after-hours workshop team in Wolverhampton. You will service, repair and inspect HGVs and trailers, diagnose faults, and ensure compliance with DAF and DVSA standards.

The role requires NVQ Level 3 or equivalent and experience with HGVs; night shifts (Tue–Fri, 6pm–6am) with minimal supervision. A supportive benefit package includes pension, holiday allowance, and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in vehicle maintenance.
• Experience servicing and repairing HGVs.
• Good diagnostic and fault-finding skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs and trailers.

• Complete MOT preparations and inspections.

• Accurately complete job cards and service documentation.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop.
• Work independently during night shifts with high productivity.

Job description

Greenhous DAF Wolverhampton is looking for a skilled and motivated Nightshift HGV Technician to join our dedicated after-hours workshop team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a market-leading brand in a professional, well-equipped environment.

You will be responsible for ensuring our customers' vehicles are maintained and repaired to the highest standards, minimising downtime and keeping fleets safely on the road.

Other duties may be required of the post holder in addition to those listed above and below, to ensure that the requirements of the business are met at all times.

Salary: Dependent on experience, will be discussed at interview stage.

Hours: Tuesday to Friday, 6.00 pm to 6.00 am, i.e. 46 hours per week, 30 minutes lunch break (unpaid)

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs and trailers.

• Qualified HGV Technician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)

• Experience working on HGVs (DAF experience advantageous but not essential)

• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills

• HGV Class 1 or 2 licence desirable

• Ability to work confidently on night shifts with minimal supervision

• Positive attitude and commitment to high-quality workmanship
