Job summary

WR Engineering in Shoreham-by-Sea, West Sussex, is seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join its modern workshop. You will carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs, diagnose faults with manufacturer systems, and perform inspections including MOT and tachograph checks.

The role offers a permanent late-shift, ongoing training, and a supportive dealer group environment. Applicants should have prior HGV technician experience, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, and a valid UK driving licence;

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic or Commercial Vehicle Technician.
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent preferred.
• Strong mechanical, electrical and diagnostic skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• HGV licence is advantageous but not essential.
• Own toolkit required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs and associated components.
• Diagnose faults using modern manufacturer diagnostic systems.
• Complete vehicle inspections, including MOT and tachograph-related checks.
• Ensure all work is completed accurately and to manufacturer standards.
• Carry out final quality checks on completed repairs.
• Support and mentor less experienced technicians when required.
