Job summary

Dennis Eagle UK is recruiting an HGV Technician to maintain and repair refuse collection vehicles to the highest standards. The role is based in Bexley, with a 45-hour week, including shifts between 12:00 and 00:00, and a salary range of £47,333.52 to £53,660.88 per year DOE.

The successful candidate will diagnose faults, service vehicles to VOSA standards, perform body and chassis repairs, keep records, and communicate with customers on-site.

Qualifications

• Hands-on role in maintaining and repairing refuse collection vehicles.
• Willingness to work up to 45 hours per week, including night shifts.

• Maintain accurate records and enter job details into company systems

• Ensure all work is completed efficiently and to company standards
• Follow health and safety procedures and conduct risk assessments where required
• Undertake training to enhance technical skills and knowledge

We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented HGV Technician to join our Aftermarket team!

This hands‑on role involves maintaining and repairing refuse collection vehicles to the highest standards, ensuring safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction every step of the way.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on chassis and mounted equipment
• Service vehicles to VOSA standards and prepare them for MOT inspections
• Complete body and chassis repairs and ensure compliance with Department of Transport specifications
• Maintain accurate records and enter job details into company systems
• Liaise professionally with customers and work independently at customer sites
• Ensure all work is completed efficiently and to company standards
• Follow health and safety procedures and conduct risk assessments where required
