Job summary

Grundon is seeking a dynamic HGV Technician in Bishops Cleeve to join our workshop team. Reporting to the Workshop Manager, you will deliver high quality vehicle maintenance to maximise uptime and keep our fleet compliant with manufacturer and regulatory standards.

Carry out inspections, servicing, and repairs, prepare vehicles for MOT testing, diagnose faults in hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems, and document work records.

Qualifications

• Qualified HGV technician with City & Guilds Parts 1-3 or NVQ Level 3 in HGV maintenance.
• Ideally hold a valid HGV licence (Class 2) and tachograph/EU CPC.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Commitment to health and safety regulations and SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Carry out inspections, servicing, and repairs on vehicles.
• Prepare HGVs for annual MOT testing.
• Diagnose faults and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Complete service documentation and follow incident reporting.
• Maintain a safe, clean working environment and use PPE.
• Support and mentor apprentice technicians.
• Provide roadside assistance when safe and assist with training.
• Work hours with occasional cover at other sites.
