Job summary

N D Brown Ltd in Wolverhampton is seeking an experienced HGV Technician for a hands-on role maintaining a fleet of commercial vehicles. You will diagnose faults, service and repair defects, and prepare vehicles for MOT tests, ensuring high standards of safety and reliability.

The ideal candidate will hold NVQ Level 3/City & Guilds or equivalent, a full UK driving licence, and ideally a Class 2 HGV licence; previous experience with commercial vehicles is essential.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence; Class 2 HGV licence would be beneficial.
• Hold qualifications in HGV/Commercials Mechanics to the equivalent of NVQ Level 3/City of Guilds/Full Main Dealership Apprenticeship
• Experience with commercial vehicles and fleet maintenance

Responsibilities

• Diagnostics and fault finding on a range of commercial vehicles
• Inspections and servicing of vehicles to required standards
• Repair of vehicle defects and component failures
• MOT preparation and related paperwork
• Preventative maintenance to extend vehicle life
