Zusammenfassung

Dennis Eagle in Evercreech, BA4 6NA, is seeking a skilled HGV Technician to service, repair and maintain refuse collection vehicles and specialist equipment across the UK.

You'll perform diagnostics, planned servicing, MOT prep and various mechanical/electrical repairs, working in a workshop and at customer sites. A strong diagnostic skillset and reading wiring diagrams are essential.

Qualifikationen

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance.
• Experience maintaining and repairing HGVs, commercial vehicles, buses, coaches, plant or specialist vehicles.
• Strong diagnostic, fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Good understanding of vehicle electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical information.
• Commitment to quality workmanship, safety and customer service.
• Able to work independently while collaborating with colleagues and customers.
• Good IT skills and workshop documentation.

Role: HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic

Location: Evercreech, BA4 6NA

Hours: 45 hours per week | between 06:00 and 18:00 Monday to Friday

Salary: Up to £48,189.77 pa DOE

We're looking for a skilled technician to join our Aftermarket team, maintaining and repairing refuse collection vehicles and specialist equipment that provide essential front-line services across the UK. You'll play a key role in helping customers keep their fleets safe, compliant and operational. Whether you're currently working on HGVs, buses, coaches, plant machinery or other heavy vehicles, this is an opportunity to build on your experience and develop your technical skills within a specialist vehicle environment.

What you'll be doing

As an HGV Technician, you'll carry out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on a range of specialist vehicles, working both in our workshop and at customer sites. You'll help ensure vehicles are maintained to the highest standards of safety, quality and reliability. You'll also:

• Diagnose and repair faults on HGV chassis, refuse collection vehicles and mounted equipment
• Carry out planned servicing, inspections and preventative maintenance
• Prepare vehicles for MOT inspections and complete quality checks
• Complete mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, body and chassis repairs

What we're looking for:

• NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance
• Experience maintaining and repairing HGVs, commercial vehicles, buses, coaches, plant or specialist vehicles
• Well-developed diagnostic, fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Good understanding of vehicle electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical information
• A commitment to quality workmanship, safety and customer service
• Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues and customers
• Good IT skills and experience completing workshop documentation

Additional skills that would be beneficial:

• HGV Class 2 licence
• IRTEC accreditation or manufacturer training
• Experience working on electric vehicles
• Experience with Volvo Tech Tool, Allison Transmission or similar specialist systems
