Job summary

Biffa in Lincoln is offering a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic Apprenticeship. Join a hands-on program to learn, earn, and gain industry qualifications while working on our fleet of waste collection vehicles.

You'll train under experienced technicians, complete a Level 3 Apprenticeship in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, and build skills across electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems in a real workshop environment.

Qualifications

• Enthusiasm to learn and adapt in a hands-on workshop.
• Basic ICT and fault-finding skills are beneficial.
• Valid Cat B driving licence is required or in progress.

Responsibilities

• Learn to service, maintain and repair HGVs and LGVs.
• Diagnose and fix vehicle faults.
• Prepare vehicles for MOT inspections.
• Work with electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Follow health and safety best practices in a professional workshop.
