Job summary

Biffa, based in Huddersfield, is seeking an HGV Technician Apprentice to maintain and repair our fleet of modern waste collection vehicles. This hands-on role allows you to contribute to sustainability efforts while gaining valuable experience in vehicle maintenance.

Responsibilities include servicing and repairing vehicles, diagnosing faults, and supporting health and safety standards. We offer a supportive work environment with training opportunities and a fantastic benefits package.

Qualifications

• Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
• Valid Cat B driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Service and repair vehicle chassis and cabs to VOSA requirements.
• Maintain and repair waste handling equipment including electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Diagnose and rectify vehicle faults.
• Support health and safety initiatives.
