Job summary

Adams Morey Plymouth is seeking an experienced HGV Technician to service, maintain and repair a range of commercial vehicles in a busy workshop. You will diagnose faults, prepare vehicles for MOT tests and ensure work is completed safely and to a high standard.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an HGV Technician or in a similar mechanical role.
• Knowledge of HGV systems, maintenance and repair procedures.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults.
• Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs and commercial vehicles.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and technical faults using diagnostic equipment.
• Prepare vehicles for MOT testing and assist with remedial work.
• Complete job cards, inspection sheets and paperwork accurately.
• Maintain a clean, safe workshop environment.
• Follow health and safety procedures and manufacturer requirements.
