Job summary

Silcom Recruitment is supporting a well-established business in Exeter to recruit an experienced HGV Technician for a stable, rewarding career in a professional workshop. You will service, inspect and repair heavy goods vehicles, diagnose mechanical and electrical faults, complete job cards, and assist with MOTs.

The role operates on a 4 on / 4 off, 12-hour shift pattern with bonus, overtime and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Qualified HGV Technician with Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
• Experience in servicing, diagnostics and repairs.
• HGV licence desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, inspections, maintenance and repairs on heavy goods vehicles.
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults.
• Complete job cards, service sheets and keep records.
• Assist with MOT preparations and ensure compliance.
• Maintain safe, clean, compliant workshop environment.
