Job summary

MAN Truck & Bus UK is seeking a qualified HGV Technician for our Plymouth depot on a full-time, permanent basis. You will join a small team, interpret repair instructions, attend training and maintain accurate records, while delivering high-quality vehicle service.

The role offers a competitive salary, a £2,500 joining bonus after probation, excellent pension, and a generous company car scheme with a VW group car every six months, plus 25 days of holiday plus bank holidays.

Qualifications

• Qualified HGV Technician with relevant certification.
• Experience in a workshop environment working on large commercial vehicles.
• Ability to read repair instructions and maintain records.

Responsibilities

• Interpret instructions from the job card/repair order and comply with repair instructions.
• Attend training and keep abreast of the latest technical information.
• Accurately report and record work done and tests carried out, including reporting any further work required or vehicle faults.
• Maintain allocated work areas in a clean and tidy condition.
• Provide information, maintain records and carry out duties accurately and timely.
• Support company image while assisting commercial interests.
