Job summary

Veolia Environmental Services (Uk) Plc is seeking an HGV Technician to service and repair Veolia fleet and partner vehicles across the UK. You will diagnose faults, perform hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic repairs and assist with MOT preparations.

The role offers on-site work with comprehensive tooling provided and opportunities for upskilling. Experience as a Mechanical Fitter/HGV Technician and an NVQ Level 3 Vehicle Qualification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience as Mechanical Fitter/HGV Technician required or preferred.
• NVQ Level 3 Vehicle Qualification preferred.
• Hold a HGV licence is advantageous.
• Willingness to use diagnostic tools and adapt to Veolia equipment.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain the Veolia Fleet, 3rd party vehicles and plant in accordance with manufacturer and industry standards.
• Run diagnostics on vehicles using a range of equipment.
• Hydraulic, electrics, pneumatics diagnostics and repairs.
• Carry out HGV MOT inspections and preparations.
• Complete roadside repairs when necessary (training provided).
• Ensure paperwork and timesheets are completed accurately.

• Repair and maintain the Veolia Fleet, 3rd party vehicles and plant in accordance with manufacturer and industry standards.
• Run diagnostics on vehicles using a range of equipment.
• Hydraulic, electrics, pneumatics diagnostics and repairs.
• Other general work as required by the Workshop Management Team.
• Work within Health & Safety regulations and be responsible for your safety and those around you.
• Ensure that all necessary paperwork, and time sheets are completed accurately.
• Carry out HGV MOT inspections and preparations. (IRTEC Licence preferred however we can provide training)
• Complete roadside repairs when necessary (Training to be provide)
• Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter/HGV Technician ideally with an NVQ Level 3 Vehicle Qualification.
• Awareness and understanding of health and safety requirements
• Hold a HGV driving licence (Preferred but not essential).
• Supply your own comprehensive tool kit. (diagnostic equipment and specialised tools provided by Veolia)
• If you are a skilled Technician we'd still love to hear from you. We can provide upskilling and develop you further once you've started with us.
