Night Shift HGV Technician Required in Belvedere, South East London

• Commercial Vehicle Business
• 4 Nights of 11 hours or 5 Nights for 9 hours - no weekends
• £46k - 51k Basic + Overtime + Incentives

We are seeking a Night Shift HGV Technician to join our client’s commercial vehicle business in the Belvedere, South East London / Kent area.

As a Night Shift HGV Technician, you will be responsible for performing maintenance services according to manufacturer guidelines and schedules. You will also handle visual inspections, adjustments, fluid changes, and replacement of worn parts on heavy goods vehicles.

Responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with team members to foster strong employee and customer relationships, ensuring the workshop meets its goals and targets.
• Performing accurate diagnostics and repairs based on repair orders.
• Ensuring all work meets quality standards and guidelines.
• Maintaining the functionality of machines and tools.
• Aiming for a zero rectification ratio by getting it right the first time.
• Communicating with the VMU manager about necessary parts and labor for additional repairs.
• Recording and reporting time spent on repair and maintenance tasks.
• Keeping the workshop clean and safe at all times.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 qualification (essential).
• Experience working with HGVs in a fleet or commercial setting.
• A practical understanding of using IT systems to achieve objectives.
• A strong commitment to safety and a right-first-time approach.
• A flexible, can-do attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• An HGV Class 1 Driving license (preferred).
• Experience with tail lifts (desirable).
