Job summary

Fleet Maintenance Services LTD in Heywood, Greater Manchester is seeking two experienced HGV Technicians to join our expanding team. You’ll be working in a modern, well-equipped workshop, carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on trucks and trailers, with a focus on diagnostics and safety.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in HGV repair and maintenance (essential)
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Experience with trucks and/or trailers is preferred
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent preferred but not essential
• HGV licence advantageous but not essential

HGV Technician

Fleet Maintenance Services LTD is a well-established and rapidly growing HGV maintenance provider based in Heywood, Greater Manchester.

Due to continued growth and exciting new long‑term contracts, we are looking for 2 experienced HGV Technicians to join our expanding team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced technician looking for long‑term job security, excellent earning potential and genuine opportunities to develop their career.

The Role

You’ll be working in our modern, well‑equipped workshop carrying out:

• HGV servicing, maintenance and repairs
• Truck and trailer repairs
• Diagnostics and fault finding
• Preventative maintenance
• General mechanical repairs
• Ensuring work is completed safely and to a high standard

We have a varied customer base and no two days are the same.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in HGV repair and maintenance
• Strong diagnostic and fault‑finding skills
• Experience with trucks and/or trailers
• A proactive can‑do attitude
• Good attention to detail and pride in your work
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent preferred, but not essential for the right person
• HGV licence advantageous but not essential

Hours

Monday to Friday, with some weekend availability.
