Job summary

Kautec Recruitment Ltd is hiring a fully qualified HGV Fitter/Mechanic/Technician for a mobile field service role based in Maidstone covering the Kent area.

You will travel to clients in a designated area, use a fully equipped van, and work on a range of vehicles with a 45-hour week (Monday to Friday, 6am–6pm).

Salary up to £55,000 depending on experience; permanent, full-time position.

Qualifications

• Ideally you will be fully qualified (City & Guilds), NVQ or equivalent.
• IRTEC or EV qualification desirable.
• HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence would be advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Preventative maintenance on mobile fleet vehicles.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns within a designated area.
• Pre-arranged servicing at rural sites.
• Engine work and diagnostic investigations.
• Hydraulics and pneumatics inspections and repairs.
• Electrical and wiring inspections and corrections.

Job description

Are you a fully qualified HGV Fitter, HGV Mechanic or HGV Technician living in the Maidstone area looking for a Field Service job?

Regional role covering the Kent area

Monday to Friday role. 45 hours per week, Between 6am and 6pm

Salary - Up to £55,000, depending on experience

The role of the Mobile HGV Technician:

You will be travelling within a designated area and have use of a fully equipped van. You will be working on a variety of vehicles, from tractor and trailer units, to RCV's, sweepers and gritters.

We are looking for a self-motivated and independent HGV Fitter, Mechanic, Technician who can travel to our clients various workshops in a designated area conducting:

• Preventative Maintenance
• Emergency Breakdowns
• Pre-arranged servicing at rural sites
• Engine work and diagnostic investigations
• Hydraulics and pneumatics?
• Electrical and wiring inspections and corrections?

Requirements for this Mobile HGV Technician position:

• Ideally you will be fully qualified (City & Guilds), NVQ or equivalent.
• Additional accreditations such as IRTEC or an EV qualification would be desirable, as would an HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence but not essential.
