Job summary

Taskmaster Resources Limited is seeking an experienced HGV Fitter / Technician to join a busy workshop team, working on a specialist fleet of drainage and vacuum equipment vehicles. The role involves maintenance, servicing and repair of HGV drainage vehicles and tractor units in a hands-on environment.

The ideal candidate will have proven HGV experience, with ADR vehicle familiarity and solid knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and be capable of working independently or as part of a

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an HGV Fitter or Technician.
• Experience with drainage or vacuum equipment is preferred.
• Good knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance, servicing and repair of HGV drainage vehicles and tractor units.
• Work on vacuum tankers and ADR-specification vehicles.
• Maintenance and repair of specialist vacuum and tanker systems.
• Fault diagnosis and repair of hydraulic, pneumatic and vacuum systems.
• Carry out inspections, preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
• Ensure all work is completed to DVSA and company standards.
• Complete workshop paperwork and defect reports accurately.
• Participate in overtime or an on-call rota where required.

HGV Fitter / Technician £18 per Hour**Location: CH42 1LU**Hours: 7:00am5:00pm | 50 hours per week

We are looking for an experienced and motivated HGV Fitter / Technician to join a busy workshop team, working on a specialist fleet of drainage and vacuum equipment vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintenance, servicing and repair of HGV drainage vehicles and tractor units


• Work on vacuum tankers and ADR-specification vehicles


• Maintenance and repair of specialist vacuum and tanker systems


• Fault diagnosis and repair of hydraulic, pneumatic and vacuum systems


• Carry out inspections, preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs


• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults


• Ensure all work is completed to DVSA and company standards


• Complete workshop paperwork and defect reports accurately


• Participate in overtime or an on-call rota where required

Requirements

• Proven experience as an HGV Fitter or Technician


• Experience with specialist drainage or vacuum tanker equipment is preferred


• Good knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems


• Experience working on ADR vehicles


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team


• Class 1 or Class 2 licence preferred


• Relevant HGV qualification, Commercial Vehicle/IRTEC qualification, or time-served experience
