Job summary

Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD is seeking an experienced Senior HGV Technician / Workshop Supervisor in Leicestershire to join a busy workshop. The role combines hands-on HGV work with supervision and coordination responsibilities.

You will service, diagnose, and repair HGVs, plan maintenance, and oversee daily workshop operations with occasional local call-outs. A strong HGV background and full UK driving licence are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a HGV Technician, HGV Engineer or Workshop Supervisor.
• Strong HGV mechanical knowledge.
• Plant machinery experience would be beneficial but is not essential.
• Able to organise workloads and work independently.
• Good communication and administrative skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

Location: Leicestershire

Salary: £18.00 - £23.00 per hour (DOE)

A well-established plant hire business is looking to recruit an experienced Senior HGV Technician / Workshop Supervisor to join its busy workshop. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior engineer looking to take on additional responsibility while remaining hands-on.

The successful candidate will primarily work on HGVs, although experience with plant equipment would be advantageous. The role is mainly workshop based with occasional local call-outs using a company van.

Key Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair HGVs.
• Carry out fault finding, diagnostics and repairs.

• Monday to Friday.
• Approximately 7:00am - 4:45pm (around a 47.5-hour working week).
• Workshop-based role with occasional mobile work.
