Job Opportunity: HGV Fitter/Mechanic/Technician in Glasgow

Are you a fully qualified HGV Fitter, Mechanic, or Technician living in the Glasgow area looking for a workshop-based role?

Are you interested in a Monday to Friday shift from 8am to 5:30pm?

Details:

• 45 hours per week
• Salary: up to £18.50 per hour

The Role of the HGV Technician:

You will work on a variety of tractor and trailer units of different makes and models, including RCVs, refuse vehicles, gritters, and sweepers. Your responsibilities will include inspections across a diverse fleet in a positive and vibrant working environment.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Routine and preventative maintenance
• MOT preparation
• Scheduled servicing to DVSA standards
• 6 (or 8) weekly inspections
• Correction of running defects
• Chassis and fabrication work
• Hydraulics and pneumatics
• Vehicle standards improvement
• Electrical and wiring inspections and repairs

Requirements:

• Fully qualified (City & Guilds), NVQ, or equivalent
• Additional certifications such as IRTEC or EV qualifications are desirable but not essential
