• Experience as PSV Mechanic, Heavy Goods Technician, or similar roles.
• Minimum of a car/van driving license.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and DVSA requirements.

HGV Technician - Joining Bonus of £1,500 !!

Biffa Waste - St Erth Depot

Salary: £19.22 per hour

Shift Pattern: Mixture of early and late shifts, rotating weekly. Overtime & Call Out available.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 45 hours per week.

You will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of vehicles and waste management equipment, ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation and DVSA requirements. This includes carrying out scheduled preventative maintenance to meet Biffa’s operator’s licence commitments. Our diverse fleet ranges from light commercial vans to 44-ton articulated vehicles, providing ample opportunities to develop your technical skills.

We welcome applications from professionals with previous experience as PSV Mechanic, Heavy Goods Technician, Lorry Mechanic, LGV Technician, HGV Technician, or HGV Mechanic. Skilled or semi-skilled technicians interested in upskilling and career development are also encouraged to apply.

• Fully skilled with a Level 3 HGV / PSV apprenticeship, City and Guilds, or NVQ qualification.
• Technician level experience.
• Minimum of a car/van driving license.
• HGV license and IRTEC qualification are desirable.
