About the HGV Technician Role

We are recruiting an HGV Technician to join our established garage team. Responsibilities include performing routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy goods vehicles, ensuring safety and customer service standards are met. Daily tasks include:

1. Maintaining and repairing fleet vehicles (mainly DAF) and trailers to DVSA standards.
2. Conducting road tests.
3. Performing roadside repairs.
4. Routine maintenance on fleet and third-party vehicles.
5. MOT preparations.
6. Re-chassis work and light fabrication.
7. Maintaining scheduled maintenance records for compliance.
8. Supporting out-of-hours breakdown cover.
9. Participating in training and assessments.
10. Adhering to health and safety procedures.
11. Performing other duties as required by line management.

Working Hours

4 on 4 off shift pattern.

Requirements

• Experience as a motor vehicle technician, with appropriate City and Guilds/NVQ/IRTEC qualifications.
