Job summary

A leading vehicle maintenance provider in Bristol is seeking a qualified individual to ensure efficient vehicle maintenance and compliance. Responsibilities include quality control inspections, mechanical repairs, and preventive maintenance. Candidates should possess G&G Level 2 qualifications or equivalent experience, practical experience in the vehicle repair industry, and a full UK driving license. Job description

SALARY:

£43,500.00 - £47,732.00 per annum depending on experience + £2,500 retention bonus paid after completion of probationary period

HOURS:

40 per week, Monday - Friday, alternating shifts from 05:30-16:30 (staggered starts) and 13:30-22:00.

LOCATION:

Albert Road, Bristol

Purpose of the role:

To provide efficient and effective high-quality vehicle maintenance and support to all employees of the workshop.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure fleet compliance records and workshop reports are completed accurately and retained efficiently.
  • Conduct quality control inspections.
  • Repair mechanical and electrical system malfunctions.
  • Ensure vehicles comply with statutory legislation.
  • Ensure brand image is of high standard.
  • Troubleshoot breakdowns.
  • Perform preventive maintenance.
  • Contain costs.
  • Evaluate service and parts options.
  • Ensure facilities are secure.
Essential Requirements and Qualifications for the Role:
  • Qualifications in vehicle maintenance – G&G Level 2 / IRTEC / Manufacturer, or demonstrable ‘qualified by experience’.
  • Working knowledge of the vehicle repair industry.
  • Practical experience in maintaining commercial vehicles.
  • Ability to work with Job Cards.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Willingness to attend training on related products.
