Job summary

Lanes Group PLC in the United Kingdom is seeking an HGV Tanker Driver for night shifts to support our waste water contract. The role runs 4 nights on and 4 nights off, 6pm–6am, at Goddards Green.

You will operate vacuum tankers and manage sites with a focus on safety, service quality and customer communication. Applicants must hold an HGV Class 1 or 2 licence with CPC and a current tachograph card, with at least 2 years of relevant driving experience.

Qualifications

• HGV class 1 or 2 licence required with CPC and tachograph up to date.
• Minimum 2 years class 1 or class 2 experience.
• Digi tachograph card up to date.

Responsibilities

• Operate HGV-mounted vacuum and tankers for drainage and waste management tasks.

• Accurately complete job reports and system updates.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and basic maintenance, reporting any faults promptly.

HGV Tanker - Nights

About the Role:

We are looking for HGV Class 1 or Class 2 drivers to work on a full time basis for days on our waste water contract.

Driving a vacuum tanker, the work incorporates tankering various non-hazardous liquids from sites to disposal facilities across the regions. You will be provided with a phone and an app to outline the jobs that have been assigned to you by the Operations Supervisor.

Due to the nature of the role, a full HGV Class 1 or Class 2 UK drivers licence with CPC and have up to date digi tachograph card.

Salary: £17.00 per hour

Hours: 4 nights on 4 nights off, 6pm - 6am, 40.25 hours averaged over an 8 week period

Location: Goddards Green

Holidays: 21 days including bank holidays

Experience and qualifications required for the role:

• HGV class 1 or class 2 driving licence
• Valid in date CPC and up to date taco
• Minimum 2 years class 1 or class 2 experience
