Job summary

W P RECRUITMENT HR LTD is seeking a Street Cleansing Operative / HGV Driver for the Isle of Wight. The role is 40 hours/week, Monday to Friday, 2pm to 10:30pm with a half-hour unpaid break.

You will operate left-hand drive road sweepers, perform vehicle checks, and support road maintenance tasks while following safety regulations. A full clean HGV license and physical fitness are required. Teamwork and initiative are essential.

Qualifications

• Full clean HGV / Category C license is required.
• Physically fit for duties.
• Ability to work well in a team or on own initiative.

Responsibilities

• Safe operation of plant including left-hand drive road sweepers, working to planned routes and schedules.
• Vehicle checks, basic maintenance and reporting defects.
• Road sweeping, litter picking and removal of debris.
• Adherence to health and safety and highways regulations.
• The role may also include: Emptying public rubbish bins including dog waste.
• Weed removal, clearing pavements, paths, drains and gullies of green waste.
