WP Recruitment is seeking a temporary ongoing Civil Engineering operative on the Isle of Wight. The role covers safe operation of road-sweeping plant, vehicle checks, and debris removal on a 40-hour week.

Key duties include litter collection, weed clearance, and adherence to highways regulations. Applicants must hold a full clean HGV/Category C licence, be physically fit, and work well in a team or independently.

Responsabilités

• Safe operation of plant including left-hand drive road sweepers, working to planned routes and schedules.
• Vehicle checks, basic maintenance and reporting defects.
• Road sweeping, litter picking and removal of debris.
• Adherence to health and safety and highways regulations.
• Emptying public rubbish bins including dog waste.
• Weed removal, clearing pavements, paths, drains and gullies of green waste.
• Gum and graffiti removal.

Location: Isle of Wight

Hours: 40 hours per week: 2pm - 10.30pm ( with half an hour unpaid break)

Days: Monday - Friday

Duration: Temporary ongoing

Duties:

Experience:

• Must have full clean HGV / Category C driver's license and a good awareness of health and safety.
• Must be physically fit due to nature of duties.
• Must be able to work well as part of a team and on own initiative.

Salary: £13.85 per hour worked 2pm - 10.30pm, £18.42 per hour worked 6.30pm - 10.30pm
