Job summary

365 People are recruiting for an experienced HGV Shunter Driver to join our client on a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern at Chesterfield. You will move HGV vehicles and trailers around the yard, position trailers for loading, carry out daily vehicle checks and work with transport teams to ensure safe operations.

Training and induction are provided, with regular ongoing work. The role requires a valid HGV Class 1 licence and reliability; pay is up to £22.95 per hour (PAYE) or higher LTD rates, with

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence.
• Previous HGV shunting or yard experience preferred.
• Good understanding of vehicle safety and yard procedures.

Responsibilities

• Move HGV vehicles and trailers safely around the site.
• Position trailers correctly for loading and unloading.
• Carry out yard movements as required.
• Complete daily vehicle checks.
• Work closely with the transport and warehouse teams.
• Follow all site health and safety procedures.
• Ensure all movements are carried out safely and efficiently.
