Job summary

Opus People Solutions on behalf of Brentwood Borough Council is hiring an experienced HGV Refuse Driver to join the busy waste and recycling team in Brentwood. You will drive and manoeuvre the vehicle safely, participate in waste collections, manage the daily route and crew, and report issues to the line manager.

Working hours are Monday-Friday 7:30am-3:30pm with an hourly PAYE rate of £17.78. This is a temporary contract with ongoing opportunities for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Must hold CPC and Class 2 driving licence.
• HGV2 driving experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maneouvre the refuse vehicle up to standard safety guidelines.
• Participate in waste collections as part of a route.
• Take responsibility for collection route and daily crew.
• Report any issues to the line manager.
