Job summary

Connect2Dorset is recruiting HGV Class 2 Drivers to join Dorset Council's Waste & Recycling team on an ongoing temporary basis in Blandford Forum. You will operate designated routes, perform daily safety checks, and help ensure efficient collections for local communities.

The role requires a valid HGV Class 2 licence, Driver CPC, and a Digital Tachograph Card, with a focus on safety and teamwork. 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a starting rate of £15.31 per hour.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 licence, Driver CPC, Digital Tachograph Card.
• No more than 6 points on your driving licence.
• A reliable and positive attitude.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• A strong commitment to working safely.

Responsibilities

• Drive HGV Class 2 vehicles on designated waste and recycling collection routes.
• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks.
• Ensure collections are completed safely and efficiently.
• Work as part of a team to deliver an excellent service to local communities.
• Communicate professionally with members of the public when required.
