Job summary

Driver Hire Stockport are currently recruiting for aHGV Refuse Driver to join our team and work for one of our clients. This role involves operating a bin lorry and collaborating with a crew on local waste collection services based in Stockport.

Key responsibilities include driving safely, supporting loaders on daily routes, performing vehicle checks, and upholding health and safety standards throughout operations.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• Previous experience in refuse or similar driving work preferred.

Responsibilities

• Driving a refuse collection vehicle safely and efficiently.
• Working alongside loaders to complete daily routes.
• Carrying out vehicle checks and reporting any defects.
• Ensuring all collections are completed in line with schedules.
• Maintaining a high standard of health & safety at all times.

• Carrying out vehicle checks and reporting any defects
• Ensuring all collections are completed in line with schedules
• Maintaining a high standard of health & safety at all times

Requirements:

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card
• Previous experience in refuse or similar driving work is preferred
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Reliable and punctual

Hours & Pay:

• Start time: 07:00 AM.
• Monday to Friday ( Bank holidays required & overtime available on Saturdays if wanted.)
• Starts at£15.35per hour. Once you hit AWR your hourly rate will increase to£16.35per hour
