Adecco is seeking an HGV Refuse Collection Driver for a temporary, ongoing assignment. You will join a team of key workers and contribute to a cleaner environment by completing daily refuse and recycling collections.

The role emphasises safety, real-time paperwork, and courteous interaction with the public. Typical shifts run with pre-planned routes, set start/finish times, and benefits such as weekly pay and on-site parking.

Formación

• Valid HGV Class 2 licence with no more than 6 points.
• Driver CPC qualification required.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to assist refuse loaders to complete routes within the service level agreement.

Responsabilidades

• Carry out daily refuse and recycling collections using appropriate equipment.
• Follow safety procedures and safe lifting techniques.
• Use in-cab technology and mobile devices.
• Complete paperwork in real time.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections before and after use.

HGV Refuse Collection Driver (Temporary ongoing assignment) to join a team of valued key workers and help make a positive difference to the environment we all live and work in.

As a HGV Refuse Collection Driver, you'll:

• Carry out refuse and recycling collections daily, with skills and knowledge of all machinery aspects of the job


• Undertake all duties in a professional manner deploying safe lifting and handling techniques appropriate to articles left for removal


• Use in-cab technology and mobile devices as directed


• Complete relevant paperwork in real time


• Carry out daily inspections and reporting for machinery and vehicles, before and after use


• Ensure the cleanliness of machinery and vehicles.


• Maintain excellent customer and client relations, particularly with members of the public and other motor users

Your typical working hours will be:

• 5.45 to 1.45 Monday - Friday


• Overtime opportunities available

What you'll need to do the role:

• Valid HGV Class 2 driving licence (with no more than 6 points)


• Driver CPC


• Willingness to help refuse loaders while on your rounds to enable your team to complete the route within the service level agreement


• Good communication and interpersonal skills


• Self-motivated


• Willingness to undertake tasks


• Clean drivers licence


• Previous relevant experience desirable, but not essential
