Job summary

The AA is seeking an HGV Recovery Driver to safely recover vehicles and support customers during breakdowns. You will work independently across varied locations, using your technical skills to resolve issues on the roadside and maintain a calm, reassuring presence for members.

Ideal candidates will hold Category C with Driver CPC, be adaptable to long shifts, weekends, and holidays, and commit to delivering high-quality support in fast-paced conditions.

Qualifications

• A full Category C (HGV Class 2) driving licence is essential.
• A valid Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) and a digital tachograph card.
• Confidence using and adapting to new technology; you’ll be provided with the tools.
• Flexibility to work shift patterns, including evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays.

• Delivering exceptional service by safely recovering vehicles and reassuring customers during breakdowns, helping them get back on the road quickly.
• Working independently across varied locations and conditions, while remaining a valued part of a supportive team.
• Solving problems on the spot, using your technical skills and calm approach to handle a wide range of roadside situations.
• Staying solution-focused and compliant with regulations, representing The AA with professionalism.
