Job summary

Paragon Skills in Ashchurch, England, is seeking an experienced HGV Personal Tutor, Assessor or Automotive Trainer to start January 2027. The role is part-time (22 hours over Mon–Wed), 0.6 FTE, with a salary of £30,000 per annum.

You will deliver coaching and assessment in a large engineering environment, support learners toward HGV and automotive qualifications, conduct workplace observations, and collaborate with employers to ensure learner success while benefiting from a supportive,

Qualifications

• Must hold Level 3 Assessor and a teaching qualification.
• Level 3 HGV Maintenance or related automotive qualification.
• Relevant industry experience in HGV, CV maintenance or automotive engineering.
• Experience coaching, mentoring, assessment, or training.
• Full UK driving licence and access to transport.

Responsibilities

• Deliver coaching, training and assessment to learners pursuing HGV and automotive qualifications.
• Support learners with reviews, coaching sessions and workplace observations.
• Plan and deliver engaging learning experiences using diverse methods and digital tools.
• Maintain compliance with GDPR, safeguarding and awarding organisation requirements.
• Collaborate with employer partners to support learner progression.
