Key Responsibilities of a Night Shift HGV Technician

• Carry out servicing, inspections, and mechanical repairs on HGVs and commercial vehicles
• Diagnose and fix faults using modern diagnostic tools and repair methods
• Ensure all maintenance and repairs comply with DVSA standards and safety regulations
• Complete accurate service reports, job cards, and defect documentation
• Work efficiently as part of the night shift team, supporting a safe and productive workshop
• Stay up to date with technical training and continuous improvement initiatives

Skills and Qualifications for an HGV Technician (Nights)

• Experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Fitter, or Commercial Vehicle Mechanic
• Strong diagnostic and mechanical repair skills
• Full UK driving licence
• Proactive and reliable with a collaborative attitude
• HGV Class 1 or 2 licence
• Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent)
