Job summary

Kemp Recruitment Ltd is seeking a skilled HGV Mechanic in Burton-On-Trent to service and repair a range of commercial vehicles. The role includes routine maintenance, MOT preparation, and diagnostic work, with mobile call-outs on late shifts for roadside support.

Rotating early/late shifts and a comprehensive benefits package are offered, with IRTEC and Class 1 licence training available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Qualification in HGV Mechanics or substantial time-served experience.
• HGV licence is an advantage but not essential.
• Diagnostic experience is beneficial.
• Willingness to cover mobile call-out duties on late shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and servicing of HGVs to industry standards.
• Prepare and present vehicles and trailers for MOT inspections.
• Diagnose and repair faults using modern diagnostic equipment.
• On late shifts, attend mobile call-outs and breakdowns to support customers roadside.
• Maintain workshop cleanliness and health & safety standards.
• Accurately complete all required paperwork.
