HGV Mechanic Opportunity

My client, a well-established transport company with depots across the UK, is actively seeking to employ an experienced and qualified HGV Mechanic based in the Widnes area on a full-time permanent basis.

You will maintain and repair an internal fleet of over 1,000 assets, including DAF and Volvo vehicles.

HGV Mechanic Duties

• Service, maintain, and repair tractor units and trailers in line with DVSA guidelines and company procedures.
• Complete all relevant maintenance and compliance documentation to the highest standards.
• Prepare vehicles and trailers for MOT inspections, ensuring a high pass rate.
• Diagnose and rectify defects efficiently to minimize downtime.

HGV Mechanic Experience Required

• Previous experience as an HGV Technician is essential; will consider time served or qualified candidates.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle roadworthiness legislation and MOT requirements.
• A team player with a flexible working attitude.
