A leading client in the food chain sector is looking for an HGV Mechanic to join their team. This role involves inspecting and repairing vehicles and trailers, ensuring compliance with safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess an HGV Class C+E licence and have relevant mechanical experience. Expect a stable Monday to Friday shift with negotiable pay based on expertise.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence – HGV Class C+E licence is essential.
• Previous HGV mechanical experience required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, report, repair and service trailers and vehicles.
• Conduct pre-MOT checks to DVSA/VOSA standards.
• Complete paperwork related to tasks.

As an HGV Mechanic your duties and responsibilities will vary based on the client requirements but will include:

• To inspect, report, repair and service trailers, vehicles and factory transport.
• To inspect and conduct pre-MOT checks to DVSA/VOSA standards.
• To complete paperwork in relation to the above tasks.
• Any other ad hoc duties, as required.

Requirement and Skills

• Full UK Driving Licence – HGV Class C+E licence is essential.
• Hold an industry recognised qualification, either City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3.
• Have previous HGV mechanical experience.
• Good knowledge of H&S practices.
• Excellent mechanical diagnostic skills.
• Effectively manage time and meet deadlines.
• Be able to work well individually and as part of a team.
