Job description

Job Title: HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter

Location: Manchester

Salary: £45,000 to £52,000 per annum

Job Type: Permanent

Our client, a well-established and reputable commercial vehicle workshop, is seeking a talented HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter to join their team.

Responsibilities:

1. Ensure repairs are carried out according to manufacturer’s procedures and in a safe and responsible manner.
2. Carry out general servicing and maintenance.
3. Assist in fault diagnosis process.
4. Comply with warranty procedures during repairs and with warranty material on completion of a repair.
5. Road test vehicle when required (if holder of HGV licence).
6. Report vehicle defects to your workshop controller.
7. Complete relevant paperwork and documentation.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Previous experience as an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter is essential.
• Own tools are required.
• Ideally hold a NVQ level 3 qualification or equivalent as an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter.
• Hold a full UK driving licence.
