Job summary

Connect Appointments is recruiting an experienced HGV Mechanic to join a busy vehicle repair and maintenance business in Kirkcaldy on a full-time permanent basis. The role offers Monday to Friday hours with overtime available and a salary of around £40,000+ per year.

The successful candidate will service and repair a modern fleet, perform inspections, and maintain accurate records while adhering to health and safety policies. Overtime is available to support busy periods.

• Proven experience in a mechanic or vehicle technician role.
• Good attention to detail with basic computer skills.
• Punctual, reliable and flexible approach to work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance and repair work across a modern fleet of vehicles.
• Complete inspections, identify faults and raise them with the Workshop Manager.
• Maintain accurate records of work carried out and complete paperwork.
• Follow company health and safety policies and keep the workshop tidy.

Our client operates a busy workshop maintaining a modern fleet of vehicles, offering consistent Monday to Friday hours with overtime available.

As An HGV Mechanic, Your Duties Will Include

• Carrying out maintenance and repair work across a modern fleet of vehicles
• Completing inspections, identifying faults and raising them with the Workshop Manager
• Completing all relevant paperwork and maintaining accurate records of work carried out
• Following company policies and procedures, particularly around health and safety
• Maintaining a clean and tidy workshop environment

To be considered as an HGV Mechanic, you will need:

• Proven experience in a mechanic or vehicle technician role
• Good attention to detail with basic computer skills
