Future Industrial Services is seeking an enthusiastic HGV & Plant Fitter / Mechanic to join our Hull team. If you enjoy hands-on work, solving technical problems and working on a variety of vehicles and specialist plant equipment, this is the role for you.

The role covers servicing, maintenance and repair of HGVs, trailers and plant equipment, fault diagnosis, workshop repairs and occasional site call-outs, plus inspections to ensure safety standards are met.

Competenze

• Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician qualification (or equivalent).
• Minimum 2 years' mechanical experience.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Experience on vehicles, trailers, plant equipment or similar machinery.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to safety and high workmanship standards.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, heavy plant or trailer maintenance.

The Role

You'll play a key role in keeping our fleet and plant equipment operating safely and efficiently through:

• Servicing, maintenance and repair of HGVs, trailers and plant equipment
• Fault diagnosis and breakdown repairs
• Workshop‑based repairs and occasional site call‑outs
• Inspections to ensure compliance and safety standards are met
• Working closely with the Workshop and Transport Manager
• Minimising downtime and supporting operational performance

This is a varied position combining planned maintenance, reactive repairs and fault‑finding activities.
