Job summary

Royal Mail in the West Midlands is hiring a Vehicle Technician on a permanent basis. The role involves a full range of inspections, diagnostics, maintenance and repairs across a diverse fleet, with access to specialist tools in a modern workshop.

You must be a Level 3 qualified mechanic with a personal toolkit, and hold a full UK driving licence (HGV preferred). A flexible shift pattern is required; overtime opportunities may boost earnings.

Qualifications

• Qualified mechanic with Level 3 in Light or Heavy vehicle or equivalent.
• Own toolkit for standard repairs.
• Proven vehicle experience on a range of vehicles, e.g. LCV/HGV.
• Full UK manual driving licence; HGV licence with trailer preferred.
• High workmanship standards and flexibility to service demands.

Responsibilities

• Perform a full range of inspections, diagnostics, maintenance and repairs on vehicles, trailers and equipment.
• Use your own toolkit for routine maintenance and repairs on light/heavy vehicles.
• Access to specialist tooling in modern, well-equipped workshops.
