Job summary

OnSite in Worcester is seeking an experienced HGV Jetting Rig Leader to take ownership of on-site operations from preparation to completion, ensuring safety, quality and timely delivery.

You will lead crews, review risk assessments, manage HGV vehicles, and mentor team members while maintaining strong client service and driving productivity.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence with CPC is essential.
• Proven experience leading operational crews in a similar environment.
• Strong health & safety knowledge and leadership mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site operations safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
• Review job packs, risk assessments and method statements before work.
• Ensure vehicles, equipment and PPE are compliant and fit for purpose.
• Drive and manage company HGVs (Class 1 or 2).
• Conduct dynamic risk assessments and lead toolbox talks on site.
• Supervise crews and allocate work to drive productivity and quality.
• Maintain clear communication with Supervisors, teams and customers.
• Complete all job documentation and paperwork.
• Take ownership of on-site health & safety and report incidents promptly.
• Support, train and mentor team members.

Job Title: HGV Jetting Rig Leader

Location: Worcester

Salary: To £38,844 depending on experience

With a proven track record in the successful delivery of projects and contracts across a broad spectrum of market sectors, OnSite consists of specialist operating areas – drainage, sewer rehabilitation, pipelines, civil engineering, specialist maintenance and rail services.

We are looking for an experienced HGV Jetting Operative to join our operational team. This is a hands‑on leadership role responsible for the safe, efficient, and high‑quality delivery of on‑site services while leading and supporting operational crews.

You will take ownership of jobs from preparation through to completion, ensuring work is carried out safely, on time, and to the required standard, while maintaining excellent client service and driving productivity and profitability.

The Role:

• Lead and deliver on‑site operations safely, efficiently, and to a high standard

• Drive and take responsibility for company HGV vehicles (Class 1 or Class 2)

• Complete all job documentation, checklists, and customer paperwork
• Take ownership of on‑site health & safety and report incidents promptly

What you’ll need:

• Valid HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence with CPC
• Proven experience leading operational crews in a similar environment
• Strong health & safety knowledge and leadership mindset
