Job summary

Balance Education Limited is seeking a qualified Heavy Vehicle/HGV mechanic to transition into teaching. The role covers both workshop and classroom training for apprentice learners, with full teacher training and ongoing professional development provided.

Based in Leicester, the position runs Monday to Friday, with a permanent, full-time contract and a supportive training programme to help you apply your industry experience in an educational setting.

Qualifications

• A Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle mechanics.
• At least 5 years experience as an HGV/Heavy Vehicle mechanic or technician in the industry.
• A keen interest to work in education.

Responsibilities

• Provide theory and practical training to HGV/Heavy Vehicle apprentice learners in both workshop and classroom environments.
• Curriculum, facilities and lesson planning is provided. You will be using your knowledge and experience to present and demonstrate topics and will be encouraged to share your industry experiences to give real world industry context.
