Job summary

Severn Trent are seeking a skilled Fleet Technician with HGV experience to join our Staverton, Gloucester team. You’ll perform servicing, maintenance and repairs on a diverse fleet, ensuring compliance with standards and accurate fleet records.

The role provides a stable 37-hour week, with optional overtime and a positive work–life balance. You’ll need a full UK driving licence, a recognised apprenticeship or Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, and a Level 3 HGV qualification.

Qualifications

• A full UK manual driving licence – driving is a key part of the role.
• A recognised apprenticeship or a Level 3 qualification (City & Guilds or NVQ equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• A Level 3 qualification in HGV Service & Maintenance is essential.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repairs across a wide range of vehicles and plant, following Severn Trent and manufacturer standards.
• Responding to unplanned maintenance and emergency call-outs.
• Preparing vehicles for annual testing and keeping accurate records in our fleet management system.
