Job summary

Gi Group Holdings Recruitment Limited are recruiting Class 1 and Class 2 HGV Drivers to work for a well-known delivery company, based in Plymouth (PL6). There are a mixture of day, twilight and night shifts available with early starts from 0400, 1200 and 2000 respectively.

Responsibilities include vehicle checks, trunking to HUBs, securing loads, delivering across the UK, and loading/unloading. You must have Tachograph & CPC and be able to communicate in English to meet safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Punctual, reliable and able to meet timing commitments.
• Ability to maintain professional attitude and learn new skills.
• Valid Tachograph and CPC required.
• Must read, write and speak English to comply with safety standards.

Job description

Gi Group are recruiting Class 1 and Class 2 HGV Drivers to work for a well-known delivery company, based in Plymouth (PL6). There are a mixture of days, twilight and night shifts available.

Day shifts will start 0400 - 0800

Twilight shifts will start from 1200 - 1600

Nights will start between 2000 - 0130

All shifts are 8-10hrs

Newly passed drivers are accepted. (If wanting Class 1 but have no experience you will be asked to start on a Class 2).

Pay Rates:

*Please note that pay rates are PAYE and include advanced holiday pay

HGV Driver responsibilities:

• Conducting Vehicle checks
• Trunking work to HUBs and local depots

• Delivering safely to customers throughout the UK

• Maintain good communication with the supervisor/wave controller
• Cover 3-4 waves across the night

HGV Driver required skills

• Enthusiastic, reliable, and punctual
• Good attitude to work and learn new skills
• No more than 6 penalty points (no DD/IN/DR/DN/TT endorsement codes)
• Hold a valid, in date Tachograph & CPC
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English to adhere to health and safety requirements
