Job summary

United Infrastructure Power Transmission and Distribution are recruiting an HGV Driver to support project operations across the UK at multiple sites. You will move plant, materials and equipment, adhering to procedures, with a team of logistics staff.

The role requires a current HGV Class 2 license, CPC training, and related safety qualifications; you will work within a busy procurement/transport team with a strong emphasis on accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications

• Must hold minimum HGV Class 2 licence (Class 1 desirable).
• CPCS A36a, Lorry Loader and CPC Driver Training are required.
• Compliance with health & safety and environmental policies.
• Experience with tachograph records and daily/weekly reporting is preferred.
• Ability to follow method statements and risk assessments in site operations.

Responsibilities

• Check and maintain vehicles and cranes; report defects and complete inspections.
• Maintain Tachograph records and weekly transport documentation.
• Coordinate with Transport Manager to ensure inspections are carried out on schedule.
• Move and distribute plant and materials to sites; keep accurate records.
• Collect and return scrap, manage waste and bulk materials with records.
• Assist on sites and stores as required; haulage of specialist plant across depots.
• Comply with safety, quality and environmental policies at all times.
