Job summary

Ipsum is seeking an experienced HGV Driver & Operator in Leicester to perform drainage cleaning, jetting, and CCTV surveys with our jetting equipment. You will respond to emergencies and support planned maintenance while ensuring safety and quality in every task.

The role requires a Class 2 HGV license, jetting certification, and CCTV familiarity. Successful candidates will work Monday–Friday with overtime opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 2 Licence (Cat C) required.
• High-Pressure Water Jetting certification required.
• Confined Space Entry certification required.
• Experience in drainage maintenance and jetting operations preferred.
• Familiarity with CCTV survey equipment & software is advantageous.
• Good understanding of health and safety practices is essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate HGV jetting units for drainage cleaning and maintenance.
• Respond to emergency callouts and support planned maintenance.
• Conduct CCTV drainage surveys to identify defects.
• Report findings and propose solutions to customers and clients.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of work and materials.
• Carry out routine vehicle and equipment checks.

Location: Leicester

Contract: Full Time – Permanent

Hours: Monday – Friday with overtime opportunities available

You’ll play a key role in delivering essential drainage maintenance services that help keep communities and infrastructure running smoothly. Working with our specialist jetting equipment, you’ll be carrying out drainage maintenance, CCTV surveys and responding to both planned and reactive works.

What you’ll be doing

As an HGV Driver & Operator, you’ll be responsible for:

• Operating HGV jetting units to carry out drainage cleaning and maintenance activities
• Responding to emergency callouts and supporting planned maintenance activity
• Conducting CCTV drainage surveys to identify defects
• Working closely with customers, clients and colleagues to report findings and recommend solutions
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with company and industry standards
• Maintaining accurate records of work completed and materials used
• Carrying out routing vehicle and equipment checks

What we’re looking for

• A valid HGV Class 2 (Cat C) Licence
• High Pressure Water Jetting certification
• Confined Space Entry certification
• Previous experience in drainage maintenance and jetting operations
• Familiarity with CCTV survey equipment & software
• Good understanding of H&S practices
• Problem solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills and customer service skills
• Flexibility to work varied shifts including nights and weekends
